Layout & Usability

Whether its BetVictor’s long history of successful online bookmaking we can’t be sure, but this is one very nicely designed site. Today, BetVictor is a behemoth in online betting that supports dozens of languages, dozens of currencies and odds on sports big and small around the world. The company is licensed by both the UK Gambling Commission and the Government of Gibraltar (license link here). As a long time punter, I can tell you without a doubt that this is a legitimate and safe website to place real money bets online.

That’s as far as I’ll go with personal opinions today. The remainder of this BetVictor review will be strictly factual so you can make an impartial decision. We’ll start with an overview of each major form of betting offered at BetVictor and then discuss deposit methods and everything else you need to know before you play at BetVictor.com.

BetVictor Bookmaker Review

Sports betting is BetVictor’s main business with markets on 30 different sports plus a variety of entertainment/political options. Each sports category is listed along the right side of the main bookmaker interface and you can click on any to see a list of upcoming matches and all available wagers for each match.

The most popular sports such as football cover dozens of matches every day with hundreds of betting options in total. Recently, I took a look at an upcoming Champions League matchup between Juventus and Barcelona. Choosing that match resulted in exactly 119 different possible wagers for that one match. I’d like to reiterate: that is 119 unique wagers for just a single match.

Types of wagers include everything from who will win the match to who will score the first goal. You can bet on halftime results, overtime results, whether or not a specific player will score a goal at any point and so on. There are oftentimes a variety of props on things like who will be the first to score a goal with the left foot, first to be carded, whether or not a specific player will provide an assist and much more.

The full list of sports covered includes: American football, Australian rules, baseball, basketball, boxing, cricket, cycling, darts, entertainment, football, Formula 1, Gaelic football, golf, greyhounds, handball, horse racing, hurling, ice hockey, MMA, motor racing, motorcycling, netball, politics, rugby league, rugby union, snooker, speedway, tennis, virtual sports and volleyball.

Among UK/European bookmakers, BetVictor frequently posts lines that are 10-15% better than competing books. They certainly don’t have the best odds every time, but it happens often enough that it would be worth adding BetVictor to your list of sites to check when shopping for lines.

That’s not just a random estimate, by the way. Odds comparison website Oddschecker.com recently found that BetVictor had the best lines on football matches 71% of the time over the past year. They compared the odds at 17 major bookmakers and BetVictor topped the list for having the best prices most often.

What many people don’t realize when betting on sports is that every bookmaker has some sort of maximum payout per day limit. BetVictor is no different with a maximum single day payout of £500,000. If you place a total sum of bets that would result in paying more than that, you’ll be capped at £500,000 for that day. This shouldn’t affect the vast majority of punters, but it’s worth noting.

Live In-Play Betting

One area of the BetVictor sportsbook is dedicated solely to live, in-play betting. If you visit this section, you’ll see a list of all current matches that are live right now as well as a schedule for upcoming live events. Choose any of these events and you’ll be taken to a screen where the current score is updated in real time and have the opportunity to place bets as the game progresses.

The big thing that differentiates live betting from traditional sports bets is that it allows you to place wagers during the game rather than just before the game. As the game progresses, BetVictor updates the odds in real time.

It’s not uncommon to find upwards of a dozen live events happening right now. You can log in any time, day or night, and usually find a few matches that are in progresses and ready for wagering. BetVictor hosts live betting for football, baseball, tennis, golf, snooker and many other sports and special events. I checked the schedule for an upcoming Friday and saw 50 live events slated for that one day alone.

For the most part, the types of live bets available at BetVictor revolve around betting on the outcome of the game with point spreads and over/under wagers. There isn’t as big a selection of prop bets as I’d like to see, but overall the coverage is well above average. It’s clear BetVictor employs many people just to cover live events.

Online Casino

BetVictor Casino does things a little differently than most casino sites. For one, it doesn’t restrict itself to just one software provider. In fact, the casino hosts games from 26 software providers. Some of the bigger names include IGT, Microgaming, Netent, Nextgen and Amaya. You can even sort the games list by supplier if you’re partial to one software developer or another.

Second, the casino has an informational display along the right side that shows recent wins (and the game that provided the win) and a list of hot/cold slots along with their recent pay rates. For example, the “hot slots” indicator showed recently that the “Playboy” game has returned an average of 126% to players. Meanwhile, the “cold slots” indicator showed that “Hall of Gods” has only returned 63%.

Game selection at BetVictor is massive with hundreds of games to choose from. This includes table games such as roulette and blackjack along with lots of slots of all different types. They have old-fashioned reel games, video slots and progressive jackpot games. Many of the games are branded after major entertainment franchises such as Pirates of the Caribbean, the Invisible Man, South Park, Dead or Alive, Playboy, Terminator 2 and many more.

Progressive jackpot games come in all sizes as well. At the time of this writing, the largest jackpot was found in the Dark Knight game with £5,973,776 up for grabs. Down at the bottom of the list was Amazon Adventure with £15,545. It’s a good thing the casino lobby has multiple sort/filter features because there are just that many games here. I don’t know of any other casino with a selection as large as this one.

Live Dealer Games

Head over to the Live Casino link at the BetVictor website and you’ll find four separate live casino areas, each with its own games and dealers. This is the largest collection of live dealer games on the internet with 120+ human dealers waiting to deal the cards and spin the reels on your behalf.

If you’re not familiar with live dealer games, let me explain. Instead of using automated computer dealers and random number generators to deliver random results, live dealer games do it the old fashioned way by shuffling real decks of cards and dropping real balls into spinning roulette wheels. Meanwhile, you watch in real time from your computer and place bets with your mouse.

The games list inside the Live Casino includes blackjack, baccarat, roulette, 3 card poker and casino holdem. All told, there are 50 separate tables that accept wagers in size from £1 per hand to £25,000 per hand.

Horse Racing Betting at BetVictor

BetVictor is heavily involved in horse racing, but it doesn’t have its own racebook section. Just log in to the sportsbook and choose “horses” from the list of available sports and you’ll be taken to the right area. I didn’t expect BetVictor to have much for horse racing since it was just lumped in with sports but I was pleasantly surprised to find they do cover races from around the world.

Major racing events such as the Triple Crown, Cheltenham and National Hunt Jockeys Championship are covered in great detail along with regular daily races at tracks in the UK, France, South Africa, USA, Ireland and every other major horseracing nation.

Select any upcoming race and you’ll be taken to the racecard that shows a list of all runners and their associated odds. You can place straight up bets on the winner or build your own tricasts and forecasts. Many races are available for live streaming if you have at least £/€ 1 stakes on the race.

One of my most common complaints for horse racing betting sites is navigation and ease-of-use, but BetVictor actually scores very well on that point. This is one of the most intuitive betting interfaces of any that I have reviewed to date. Upcoming races are displayed prominently near the top of the BetVictor racing hub and then tomorrow’s races displayed next. Just under upcoming races, you’ll see a full list of all upcoming major events.

Individual races are also displayed in a manner that shows all relevant information up front, along with all betting options and basic racing info. Choosing different types of wagers is simple with odds that are displayed clearly and simple navigation. You can also select the “timeform” button to see summaries of each horse, along with an option to view the full raceform for any particular horse. BetVictor deserves praise for making a lot of information available without overwhelming the senses.

Betfinder

The Betfinder tool is perhaps the single greatest selling point as to why anyone should consider betting on horses at BetVictor.com. In short, Betfinder is a free tool that you can use to find winners with ease. Use Betfinder to see the most improved horses, identify horses that are in form, look for jockeys who are performing well and more.

What’s particularly nice about Betfinder is it is integrated into the BetVictor website in such a manner that it scans all upcoming races to highlight horses and jockeys that meet your requirements. This comes in handy for a day in which you would like to bet on horses, but do not have a particular race in mind. In that case, you can just fire up Betfinder to find horses that fit your criteria in races that are open for betting.

Best Odds Guaranteed

Like other major racing betting sites, BetVictor has a “best odds guaranteed” policy. If you place a bet before a race at the early price or board price but then later the starting price is better, they will pay you at the better price. This offer is open for all UK and Irish horse races.
